Let's Make Louisiana Great Again
Joshua Morott – For the People, By the People

I’m Joshua Morott—a working-class Louisianan, Christian, and single father who’s fought through life’s toughest battles to serve Louisiana’s 4th District.

A divorce separated me from my children (ongoing targeted Parental Alienation)—a son, 17, and daughter, 11—for over six years, an alienation worsened by an eviction from family court (unused family domicile) that left me homeless. In 2022, my insurance and realtor licenses were suspended by the same family court after my ex filed, due to unpaid arrears following hardships caused by Louisiana’s back-to-back hurricanes and the COVID shutdowns. Arrested multiple times for pleading to see my kids, I’ve faced a system that punishes love rather than protects it. Yet, faith and resilience lifted me.

I’ve substitute taught, worked as an insurance agent and realtor, and in 2024, ran for Congress solo—no staff, no manager, no endorsements, less than $4,000, and under 4,000 followers—building my campaign website myself to earn 43,000 votes.

My journey reveals broken systems:
-
Family courts enabling alienation
-
Medicaid struggles I’ve known
-
VA hospitals failing veterans like my father
-
Absent veteran retirement communities
-
A stagnant education system
I’m proud to lead with this experience, championing:
-
A Parental Rights Amendment
-
Veteran retirement communities in every state
-
Better healthcare for families and veterans
-
Education reform to restore opportunity
Louisiana deserves a voice from its trenches—join my fight for a stronger future.
